Together with technology partners Wavetrend™, ISIS co-sponsored a "Culture and Security Roundtable" held by The New Security Programme. This international event examined the issue of culture and its importance in the context of security.

Held at the Travellers Club, London on the 1st June 2006, the event also analysed specific threats, ways of managing risks, methods of insuring against damage, the role of international institutions and new ways of protecting artefacts, facilities and institutions.

In what became a wide-ranging 'brainstorming session', which generated many new and important ideas, key speakers included Nobel Peace Prize winner The Right Honourable David Trimble, international legal specialist Lord Brennan QC, Louise T Blouin McBain, President of the Louise T Blouin Foundation, Rob Green (ISIS), cultural property protection expert Karl von Habsburg, former terrorist Sean O'Callaghan, and New Security Programme Director, Dr Harold Elletson.
